1. Enquiry

1. A club, which would like to organize an ICC-Show, must first familiarize itself with the exhibition regulations of the ICC and adhere to these.

2. The official request needs to be submitted to the Board not later than two years in advance and in good time so that it can be placed on the agenda of the annual assembly of delegates and the delegates have the opportunity to vote on it. Exceptional deadlines may be accepted by the Board.

3. Between 6 to 12 months before the exhibition is to be held, the club should provide the venue, the date, and general schedule of the weekend to the Delegate-Meeting. If the club wishes to change the regulation, the delegates can decide during that meeting.

4. The judges for the exhibition will also be approved at the Delegate-Meeting. The organizing club provides a maximum of four judges and in addition, the judge chairman. The ICC Board can suggest two judges.
The two judges with the most votes are planned for the ICC exhibition. The next two placed judges form the reserve.
The proposed judges must have judged Chihuahua dogs at least twice at international or national exhibitions or CAC club shows and must be an official judge from the FCI/KC/AKC or a recognized member. It is a plus if the judge have participated in at least one ICC meeting or congress within the last three years.
Naturally, judges involved in the breed by their breeding career and/or judging career are preferred. A judge should not judge two years in a row on the ICC. If a judge cancels the invitation, he shall be represented by a reserve judge in the order of voting.
With the announcement of the exhibition, the organizer announces the judges. The reserve judges are also to be announced.

2. Organization

The entire organization of the ICC exhibition, also the determination whether one-day (only ICC show) or two-day show (ICC show in combination with another exhibition), as well as the time arrangement is the responsibility of the organizing club. If a two-days-show is carried out, the ICC-show shall take place before the second show.

The organizing club appoints a responsible exhibition director who already has experience with exhibitions. He should be announced on the registration form as the contact person for the exhibitors.

The organizers must first receive the permission for the execution of the show from the ICC board according to point 1 clause 2. After that the approval for the second show, if applicable, has to be obtained from the umbrella association of the organizing club. After receipt of these, the board of the ICC is to be informed about the approval.

The organizers must be insured by their club to be able to organize the event. A copy of the insurance has to be presented to the ICC board.

The organizer sends the advertising and registration papers to all clubs at least 6 months before the exhibition. The clubs then forward them to interested members.

The announcement of the show should be printed in the club newspapers.

Classification:

1. Baby class (4 – 6 month) (optional).
2. Puppy class (6 – 9 month) (optional).
3. Junior class (9 – 18 month).
4. Intermediate class (15 – 24 month).
5. Open class (from 15 month).
6. Champion class (from 15 month).
7. Veteran class (from 8 years).
Couple’s class – two dogs of different sex, same breed and owner.
Breeding group – three to five dogs from the same kennel name.

For the entry into the Champion Class the show regulation of the organizing member country is relevant, whereby a confirmation of the title must be sent with the entry. This regulation must be stated in the invitation as well as in the registration papers. The regular titles of all FCI AKC KC and other recognized member bodies, are recognized.

The organizer must check the identification and age of the participating dogs as well as the correct division according to class and sex.

The organizer may propose other competitions such as for e.g. “Junior Handling” after the regular competitions.

The closing date for entries is about three weeks before the exhibition (left to the organizer).
Public relations work in the form of posters, newspaper advertisements, and radio or TV commercials are important to promote and publicize the breed.

3. Financing

The organizer is responsible for the financing of the ICC exhibition.

The ICC treasurer pays a subsidy, the amount of which is determined by the Assembly of Delegates.

However, the entry fee should be kept as low as possible. The registration of breeding groups and couple classes is free of charge.

ICC-Congress/Seminar:

Should an ICC-Congress be held in connection with the ICC-Show, the additional financial questions have to be clarified with the ICC board before. This event as well as the delegates or judges meeting should take place near the exhibition area, and if possible, in the hotel, which is intended for the delegates and judges. Invited judges, Club-Delegates and Invidividual-Members do not pay their participation of the seminar.

Judge’s fees:

The organizer will take over responsibility for the travel expenses, the banquet, the hotel room on the day before and on the day after the event as well as lunch and dinner on the day of the event for the active judges.

Banquet:

Either the evening before or in the evening of the 1st day (at 2-day shows) a banquet must be planned. Participants will register in advance and pay for their  meal. The price must be a fixed price including drinks and meals. The food should be typical for the country, but not too expensive.

Accommodation:

Hotels with different price ranges shall be offered. At least one of the hotels should allow dogs in the room.

One hotel should be reserved for judges and delegates. The organizing club must pay hotel for judges but Delegates have to deal with their own clubs.

Campsites should be available near the exhibition site. If possible camping, should also be available on the exhibition site.

4.Exhibition schedule

The ICC-Show is opened by the president of the organizing club and the president of the ICC (or their representatives).

Type of exhibition:

Exhibition with CAC’s awards 

The dogs receive the qualification given by the FCI:
Excellent – Very Good – Good – Sufficient – Disqualified – could not be judged

A maximum of four dogs will be placed. Only the dogs with the marks “excellent” and “very good” can be placed.

Exhibition grounds:

In good weather conditions, the dogs can be judged outside.  Tents with tables and chairs must be set up in each ring for ring secretaries and judges. In bad weather conditions, it should be possible to move the rings into a hall. If this is not possible, shelters for dogs and owners should be nearby.

Information booths of the ICC member clubs are desired, commercial sales stands are possible.

Public sound system (loudspeaker) must be present. There should be a speaker who informs about what is going on in the rings. (National language and ICC language : English).

Registration:

At least 6 months before the exhibition, the organizer sends the advertising and registration papers to all clubs, who agree to forward them to interested members. The announcement of the show must be printed in the club newspapers and/or newsletters and posted on club websites and social media pages. The judges are published in the registration papers. The reserve judges are also published.

Catalogue:

Catalogue must be online, printed or in photocopied version. (advertisements from clubs and exhibitors welcome, commercial advertising permitted). A preface explains the purpose and sense of the ICC to the visitors.

After judging, each active judge receives  a completely filled out catalogue/results.

Judgement:

As personnel per ring is needed:
– ring steward (for preparing the classes).
– ring secretary (at the table).

Further exhibition personnel such as veterinarian, paramedics, secretary, cleaning staff, “runners” etc. are recommended.

Judges:

The show is judged in 2 rings. One judge per ring. If a judge has more than 80 dogs to judge, it is up to him/her to accept more. If needed, a part of the classes could be given at the second judge as long as this one has not reached their limit. A third judge may be called upon.

Ring 1: SC Chihuahuas
Ring 2: LC Chihuahuas

If necessary, in the 3rd ring will be judged: baby class, puppy class and junior class.

The chairman of the judges is appointed by the organizer.

The organizer must ensure that ring writers are present who speak the languages of the judges.

The judge’s reports must be written legibly.

5. Title assignment:

The following titles are awarded:

„ICC-Winner“
The title “ICC-Winner” is awarded four times: SmoothCoat and LongCoat, male and female. This award will be chosen between the first places (excellent) of the Champion, Intermediate and Open Class.

„ICC-Junior Winner“
The title “ICC-Junior Winner” is awarded to every dog of the four junior classes, who have received the assessment “excellent 1”.

„ICC-Veteran Winner“
The title “ICC-Veteran Winner” is awarded to every dog of the four veteran classes, who has received the assessment “excellent 1”.

Ring of honour:

In the ring of honour the following best are chosen:
Judge panel for the main ring must be announced in the catalogue and on the show ground.

BIS BABY– between the 2 varieties BOB BABY (all babies judged in the morning are welcome in the main ring as a baby parade for training them).

BIS PUPPY –  between the 2 varieties BOB PUPPY (all puppies judged in the morning are welcome in the main ring as a puppy parade for training them).

BIS JUNIOR-  between the 2 varieties BOB JUNIOR  (the BOS juniors are welcome for an honor walk).

BIS VETERAN – between the 2 varieties BOB VETERAN (all veterans judged in the morning are welcome in the main ring as a tribute parade).

Best Couple  – all varieties.
Best Breeding –  group all varieties.

BEST IN SHOW – is selected from BOB SmoothCoat and BOB LongCoat.

Awards:

Each registered dog will receive a gift of honour and/or a diploma.

One gift of honour for each registered breeding group and each registered couple.

The ICC Winners, the ICC Veteran winners and the ICC Junior winners receive a memory engraved with the ICC title (ICC and year) (trophies, cups, plates or similar).

For the “Best in Show” a representative trophy will be awarded, which will be paid by the ICC and handed over by the ICC President.

The following prizes will also be awarded:
– For the best couple.
– For the best breeding group.

The organizer is free to award further prizes, e.g. for the dog with the longest journey to the ICC exhibition, oldest veteran, etc.
