Chihuahuas have been in my life since 1971 and I established my prefix, Reynosa, soon after. I have successfully exhibited since 1976. I have been judging the Toy Group (same format as UK) since 1989 and have been fortunate to judge at Chihuahua specialties and Toy/Companion dogs in my own and many overseas countries.

I am also an accredited examiner for Toy Group judge testing. I currently serve as President and am a Life Member of the Chihuahua Club of Victoria. I held the position of President of the National Chihuahua Council for two years when our club was the National Show host for those years.

I have been a member of Dogs Victoria (State organisation for Dogs Australia) for over 50 years.

I started in dogs in 1993. I got my first chihuahua in 1996. She won 1 BIS, was chihuahua of the year for 2 years. Then I purchased some dogs of Hackspack Chihuahuas to begin my breeding program. I finished some dogs in AKC until I found Dazzles Bad Tad for Bearpaw “Tad” in 2005 with Donna Jensen (Dazzles Chihuahuas).

Tad was a wonderful dog. He was very sound, a great show dog, amazing temperament, a great mover and had a lot of type. His accomplishments in the ring were: Multiple BIS winner, multiple BISS, multiple BOV at national specialty, #1 chihuahua (AKC and Mexico) in 2006/2007, WDS winner 2007, top dog (all breed) of the year in Mexico with 33 BIS in 2006, and CH in several countries.

I also bred multiple champions in different countries (America), multiple BISS winners, group winners and BIS winners. Krispin Everone Nose Yur Name “Cheers” (co-owned with Shea O’Connell and Holly Maxwell) was #1 chihuahua in 2022, won BOV at the national specialty and was a BIS winner.

One Love Hashtag Not Vanilla “Vinnie” (co-owned with Regina Keiter, Deb Shindle and Holly Maxwell) was a multiple BIS winner and #1 chihuahua in 2022 and 2023. In 2024 I am currently showing a puppy that finished his AKC championship winning the breed over champions, and I am very excited for his future.

I am thankful for my wonderful mentors of the breed: Peggy Hackelton, Erika Lanasa and Billy Miller.

We got our first chihuahua in 2008. Theo (Signum Fantin-Latour) was the reason for the love of the breed. So much personality and courage in this little dog. Soon there were more. Until then we only had whippets. Now we have more chihuahuas than whippets.

First chihuahua litter under our prefix Play Mec was born in 2012 from our Signum Flora Lapponica. I have judged whippets and greyhound since 2004 and it was natural to apply for education on chihuahua. I was authorized in 2019.

I have been a board member for a number of years in The Norwegian Sighthound Club in various positions and then The Norwegian Whippet Club when it started up. Today I am President of The Norwegian Chihuahuaclub.
